Alumni Gatherings

The school year offers many opportunities for the former students of MIS to gather to kindle memories, renew friendships, and join together in fellowship at Mary Immaculate: the Parish Fall Festival, the Parish Craft Fair, the MIS Heart of Gold Auction and the Alumni Mass. Click on the event name to find details for these events, then come join the fun!

Also, bring the family and join friends, students, parents and fans as we cheer on the MIS Mustangs in football (still at Don Showman Park), basketball and volleyball (in our new gymnasium) as well as other sports! And keep your eyes open for someone you know…between the teachers, parents of alumni, and current MIS parents who are former students, there’s sure to be a familiar face! See www.dallasparochialleague.com for times and locations.

Alumni Welcome at MIS Student Masses

Remember going to Friday morning Mass? Walking in our double lines (silence please!), dressed in our least worn uniform (with beanies on our heads for some of us now older ladies!), singing along with Mrs. Santini and her guitar, the achy smell of incense during Lent, the reverent glow of candles during Advent.

The faces have changed—as has the uniform—but the tradition of school Mass on Friday morning carries on. Alumni are welcome to join in the Friday morning Masses, and you are especially invited to join us at the Mass honoring all MIS alumni in late January. Done each year in conjunction with Catholic Schools Week, the Alumni Mass has gathered quite a number of former MIS students in prayer and fellowship.
