Mary Immaculate Athletics offers a volleyball league annually, through the DPL, for boys and girls in grades 5-8. Coed Volleyball is open to boys and girls entering 7th and 8th. This year’s league is registering now. Games are played on Saturdays and there will be a maximum of two practices per week. MIS will need to have D1 girls teams in both 7th and 8th grade. Each team will need a minimum of 9 players in order to form that team. There will need to be a minimum of 18 players in order to divide into two teams. There will also need to be a minimum of 2 coaches per team.
Every athlete must have a medical release and physical on file, plus must turn in the signed waiver/permission slip and payment in order to participate in practices or play in the tournament. A link to the waiver/permission slip will appear on your screen you once you submit this form. All completed forms and payment are due to the school office before practices start at MIS. You must get the physical after June 1 to be effective for the new school year.
Indicate on the registration if your child will make MIS Volleyball a priority in the fall in case of conflicts with other activities. This has to be truthful so team numbers can be determined in order to avoid forfeits for not having enough players to start the game.
Sign up in spring allows for coaches to form rec teams for practice during the summer if they so choose. Registration is not complete until all forms are delivered to the MIS Office and payment has been received. Please fill out one form per athlete participating.
