The DineRite System
The DineRite system works similar to A DEBIT CARD system, except that all transactions are handled by computer barcodes rather than on magnetic tape. You may send money (check, cash or credit card) to the school for your child's lunch. This money is deposited to each child's DineRite account for purchases in the cafeteria. As the child comes through the food line, the amount of his/her purchase is deducted by computer from their account. All food items purchased are recorded to the Student's Account.
When the balance drops below $15.00 you will receive a notice in your child's weekly school info packet (or by email if you select). You may send check or cash. Checks ($40.00 minimum) should be made payable to "DINERITE." Your child's name and grade should be shown on all checks or correspondence. If you use your credit card, we will automatically activate a $50.00 charge when the DineRite account falls below $15.00. You will receive a notice sent home in the weekly package (or by email if you select) advising you that your credit card has been billed. The computer system gives us full accountability to the parent and to the school. If you want a printout of your child's food purchases for any month, please ask the Cafeteria Director. You may go to the cafeteria anytime and view the purchases and deposits on the computer screen. If your child's account should run out of money before you have an opportunity to send a check, we will allow them to charge 2 Hot Lunches before the computer will deactivate their account. Since it is the school policy that no child will go hungry, we will provide a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a carton of milk to those students who are deactivated. A charge of $2.00 will be made OFF-LINE for these items. You should make an extra payment for these items.
K to 1st Grade students will use their DineRite Account but will not be required to carry a DineRite Card.
2nd to 8th Grade Students will be required to carry their DineRite cards ( or memorize their Card Number in order to access their account.) If you wish to further protect your child's account we offer auxiliary password protection, daily spending limits and individual items restrictions. Ask the Cafeteria Director for details.
If your account has a balance at the end of the School Year, this balance will be carried over to the next year or refunded for all graduates or all other requests. (All refund requests should be made to the DineRite Corp. Offices)
