Traffic flow procedures

Please note the following procedures for the 2006-2007 school year.

1.	All cars enter at Longmeade and exit at Dennis.

2.	There are two options available when either dropping off or picking up children: Stay in your car in the traffic flow lane, or: Park your car and walk across the drive lane at the north crossing.

3.	If you choose to stay in your car, please note that there is just one drop off/pick up lane; this is to prevent children from having to cross in front of cars. You will be able to drop off or pick up your child anywhere between the main entrance to the gym and the north crossing area. Once you have dropped off or picked up your child, please enter the exit lane and proceed out the Dennis exit.

4.	If you choose to park your car: Turn to the left as soon as you enter the parking lot and park in any of the available places. Please cross the driving lane at the north crossing to drop off or pick up your child. Please note that the north crossing is the only place to cross the driving lane. This is to ensure adequate supervision for our students while they are crossing traffic.

In order to avoid long lines waiting to enter at Longmeade, the dismissal times will be: School begins at 8:00 A.M. and ends at 3:20 P.M. daily for Grades 6-8. Kindergarten hours are 8:00 A.M. to 3:05 P.M Grades 1-3 are dismissed at 3:10. Grades 4 and 5 are dismissed at 3:15. Please help us ensure the safety of your children by observing our traffic flow procedures.
