Celebrating Our 60th Jubilee!

60th-blue-JPG.jpg

Mary Immaculate Catholic School opened our doors in September of 1959 to provide Catholic, Christ-centered academic excellence to North Texas families. We invite you to join with our students, alumni and parishioners in celebrating this milestone! Scroll down to see “Jubilee Mementos” where we’ll add various Diamond Anniversary items over the coming weeks.

Shining Brightly With His Light

“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” ~ John 8:12

As this is our diamond jubilee, we reflect on the many ways Mary Immaculate School has kindled the light of Christ in the lives of students. We invite Jesus to flood our souls with the fragrance of his spirit. We pray he shines through us so brightly that others are inspired to follow the light of Christ with us.

Kicking off our diamond jubilee!

Faculty, staff and students kicked-off our 60th Jubilee Celebration by creating a living “60” on the playground the second day of school. On Sept. 7, we’ll celebrate Holy Mass at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church (5 pm) followed by our annual school picnic on the school playground.

Student Celebrations

The 2019-20 school year will be divided into three 60-day triads with each triad focusing on a different virtue of faith, hope and love:

  • Triad I: Faith. From Aug. 15-Nov. 8, 2019, students will focus on faith and prayer. Click here to see the prayer students are saying at the beginning of each day this Jubilee.

  • Triad II: Hope. From Nov. 11, 2019 through Feb. 18, 2020, students will focus on the virtue of hope, particularly on providing hope through giving of ourselves.

  • Triad III: Love. From Feb. 19 through May 31, students will focus on the virtue of love, particularly charity and service.

Jubilee Timeline

Details about our Jubilee Celebration will be added as information is confirmed.

  • Aug 15: The first week of school, students will learn about our jubilee, the theme, and make a living “60!”

  • Sept. 7: Student, faculty, staff Mass and picnic

  • Nov. 9: Alumni Mass (5 pm) and reception featuring a special blessing of all alumni faculty and students, particularly those who are deceased.
