Celebrating Our 60th Jubilee!
Mary Immaculate Catholic School opened our doors in September of 1959 to provide Catholic, Christ-centered academic excellence to North Texas families. We are grateful to the thousands of families, students, faculty and staff who have made MIS the wonderful home that it is! We hope you will celebrate with us for our Jubilee Mass and Reception on Nov. 9. Click here to register.
All former students, faculty/staff and families are invited to our 5 pm Alumni Mass followed by a Reception in the parish hall! Click the header or the button on right to RSVP.
The Mass will include priests who represent all 60 years! Bishop Greg Kelly will preside and will serve in the absence of Msgr. Albert Cuschieri who passed away. Fr. Bruce Bradley and Fr. Leon Duesman will concelebrate along with the Vicar Provincial of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate from Washington DC, Fr. Art Flores! Fr. Michael Forge is thrilled along with us that every former pastor and the Oblates will join in the celebration! The Mass will include a special blessing of all faculty and students, particularly those who are deceased.
A Jubilee Reception will follow the Mass in the parish hall and will include music, food, and several memories such as MIS’ original song, uniforms through the years, etc. There is no charge to join us at the reception but we need a count to plan appropriately. Click the header or button at the right to register. Thanks to our Jubilee Reception committee for their hard work: Debby King, Stephanie Koch, Anne Holubec, Teresa Flores, Sherry McCord, Prici Mahaffey and Kimberly Murawski.
We invite alumni and families to purchase your own Jubilee Silver Medal or T-Shirt (buttons on right). The medals are perfect mementos for First Holy Communion, Confirmation or any charm bracelet, Rosary or necklace. The deadline to order a medal is Feb. 28, 2020. T-shirts will be ordered quarterly through May 31, 2020.

“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” ~ John 8:12. As this is our diamond jubilee, we reflect on the many ways Mary Immaculate School has kindled the light of Christ in our lives. We invite Jesus to flood our souls with the fragrance of his spirit and pray he shines through us so brightly that others are inspired to follow the light of Christ with us. Bishop Edward Burns celebrated Holy Mass and blessed the school on Aug. 30, 2019. At that Mass, students sang “Shine Brightly with Your Light,” a song commissioned specifically for MIS’ 60th Diamond Jubilee!
Faculty, staff and students kicked-off our 60th Jubilee by creating a living “60” on the playground the second day of school. Current students and staff will celebrate the milestone every 60 days with a different ‘triad.’ Click the header to see student ideas to celebrate this milestone!
Triad I: Faith. From Aug. 15-Nov. 8, 2019, students will focus on faith and prayer. Click here to see the prayer students are saying at the beginning of each day this Jubilee.
Triad II: Hope. From Nov. 11, 2019 through Feb. 18, 2020, students will focus on the virtue of hope, particularly on providing hope through giving of ourselves.
Triad III: Love. From Feb. 19 through May 31, students will focus on the virtue of love, particularly charity and service.
